Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline along with a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) for primary level or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) for upper primary level, as applicable. Additionally, candidates must have cleared the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education or the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. Proficiency in both Bengali and English languages is mandatory, in line with WBSSC norms.
Age Limit & Relaxation
Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of the closing date of applications. Age relaxation is provided as per government guidelines: up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and up to 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
Salary & Pay Scale
Selected Assistant Teachers will receive a basic monthly pay of ₹28,900 under the West Bengal School Service Rules. In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other admissible benefits as per state government regulations.
Selection Process & Exam Date
